Meeting room
From a meeting room for four to a boardroom for twenty. See how to build a meeting room that works.
Meeting room
A meeting room is the beating heart of every office discussion: this is where decisions are made, strategies are discussed and deals are closed. A well-equipped meeting space in an office combines a sturdy meeting table, ergonomic tailor-made meeting chairs and the right acoustics for a productive meeting room without distractions.
Whether it is a formal boardroom for management or a smaller huddle room for a quick catch-up: the meeting room should radiate professionalism and support concentration. That way every conference room becomes an efficient, representative experience.
WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR
Number of people. Allow 70 to 80 cm of table width per person, and at least 90 cm of free space around the table to pull out the chairs.
Acoustics. A bare room with a glass wall echoes. Ceiling islands, a rug or acoustic wall panels remove that reverberation.
Power. Provide power and data in the table itself. Cables across the floor are a trip hazard and look untidy.
Screen and camera. Decide in advance where the screen goes, because that determines the shape and position of the table.
