Engie’s head office in Brussels was refurbished and Buro International supplied the furniture. Since the existing desks were still too good to replace but no longer fitted the new interior concept, the frame was adapted each time and the top replaced with a 160 cm wide top. Quite a challenge for more than 2000 desks!

Here and there, sit-stand desks were also provided to give employees the option of working standing up. Lockers with combination locks were placed centrally in the corridors so people can store their personal belongings safely and keep a clean desk. This was especially useful for Engie’s flex workers, who have no fixed workspace. It allows them to easily start working at any free workspace without having to bring a pile of materials from home to the office.
